Birthday Party

Courtney celebrated her 7th birthday at the bowling alley after school today. She invited nine friends-four boys and five girls to the party. Everyone had a great time bowling, eating and watching Courtney open her presents. Kelsey went to Kenzie's birthday party at the Deutsches, so she didn't get to bowl with us. Courtney received art supplies, a bubble gum machine, High School Musical 2 CD, notepads, a puppy poster and many other nice things. The theme of her party was "American Idol, " so she had an American Idol cake. I ordered the cake for the party from our local flower shop and made homemade brownies for her party at school. Her family party will be on the 9th in Shakopee, so that she and Sam can celebrate together! Have a great weekend everyone!

Road trip to Wabasso!

The girls and I drove to Wabasso today to visit my childhood friend, Rachel and her children, Michaela and Brody. Michaela will be in sixth grade this fall and Brody is two. We had a nice time visiting, going for a walk and playing with the kids at the park.

The First Day of School

It is Courtney and Kelsey's first day of school today. They are both very excited and ready to go! Kelsey wanted to sleep with her backpack last night just to make sure nothing happened to it:)

All Ready for School?!

Courtney created her own little work space in the basement to do homework. I think it is great! She is very excited for school to start. We attended a Back to School picnic last night and met her teacher, Mrs. Ellsworth. I'll post more pictures on Monday. Have a good weekend everyone!
