Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! The girls are out trick or treating with Eric this evening. He was also planning on taking them to a Halloween party sponsored by the Friends and Neighbors Club. Courtney is "Belle" from Beauty and the Beast while Kelsey is a character from "The Incredibles." I dressed up as a witch for my students. It was a fun day!

Randy Travis Concert

Eric and I attended a Randy Travis concert with some friends of ours this evening. I'm not a big fan of his...but the concert was great and lasted over two hours! My friend Denise even got his autograph and the tickets were free, so it was a nice evening of entertainment. If you get the chance to attend one of his concerts, I'd highly recommend it. He played some of his classics, a little gospel and current songs as well.

Skittles' Tail

Our poor little Skittles had his tail amputated on Saturday. We noticed it was cut open and sore a few weeks ago. The vet. thought he could treat it with antibiotics, but that didn't help...so now our kitty is without a tail:( Oh, well we still love taking care of him. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Rocky Mountain High

We spent a wonderful weekend in Denver visiting Eric's family. The girls enjoyed playing Candyland or "Lollipop," as Kelsey likes to call it and Bingo with Grandma Cheryl. They also liked spending time with Rene and Seth at Casa Bonita. On Saturday we visited Ron and Toni in Idaho Springs. It was a quick trip, but the weather was beautiful and we had a great time! Eric and I have Fall break this Friday and Monday. I'm going to volunteer some time in Courtney's classroom on Monday. Have a great week everyone!

Relaxing with Skittles/September Student of the Month

I like this picture of Kelsey and Skittles, the girls are really enjoying their new pet. Eric and I attended the awards program at Courtney's school today, she was named September Student of the Month. Courtney's teacher, Mrs. Ellsworth is wonderful! Courtney really loves school and is working really hard on her reading skills. There were two students chosen from four sections of first grade. Her good friend, Jalen was also chosen as student of the month. We are flying to Denver this weekend to visit Eric's family. Courtney has Friday and Monday off from school, we also have Monday off and took Friday as a personal day. It will be nice to visit Phil, Cheryl, Ron, Toni, Megan, Rene and Seth.
