Piano Lessons and Photos...

Courtney started taking piano lessons this week and really enjoys it. We are borrowing a keyboard from her piano teacher. We have a keyboard, but it needs to be fixed. The girls spent the weekend having a sleepover and playing with friends. The other photo is one of my favorite things...I made copies of many of the photos Lindsy sent me (thank you Lindsy) and had the pictures matted and framed-it's hard to tell-but it is absolutely gorgeous.

Have a good week everyone!

Homecoming 2008

Can you see Courtney waving at me?
The Westside float....

Today is Homecoming for the Sisseton Redmen. I attended the parade with Kelsey's class. Courtney was chosen to ride the Westside Elementary float for students with good behavior. The parade was very good and Kelsey got a lot of candy!! The Redmen won their football game and are now 4-0-which is very exciting for the community. Have a great weekend everyone!!

More of Kelsey....

Kelsey's teacher e-mailed me these pictures, so I thought I would share them. The girls are having a good week and excited about the Homecoming parade on Friday. The Redmen are 3-0 and play the Redfield Pheasants. Fans are encouraged to wear their camoflauge to the game and 'hunt' for pheasants-which is clever.....

Our friend Sara is getting married on Saturday so we will be going to her wedding. We've also started going to the Presbyterian Church in Sisseton and really like it. I've volunteered to teach Sunday School and that is going well. There are around 20 kids that attend, which is significantly more than our former church. The pastor is excellent and we are happy to have found a place of worship for all of us.

Enjoy the rest of the week!

Dancing and Posing

Courtney and Kelsey have started taking dance lessons and they both really enjoy it. I didn't get the chance to take any pictures of Courtney as she went over to play at Kylee's house, while McKenzie came over here to play with Kelsey.

Thanks, Miranda for the Shakopee t-shirt. Courtney really likes it and the colors are the same as the Sisseton Redmen, so she can wear it often.... Have a great week everyone!!

A Fun Filled Weekend!

Rowe and I before leaving for the party!
Here I am at the RNC Media Party:)
Everyone's Ready for the Concert!
Crazy Kids!!
The Original Idol Fans....
We just got home from our weekend in the Cities. My wonderful friend, Rowe, had passes to the RNC Media Party on Saturday night. We had a great time and saw a few famous people like Mark Rosen (WCCO), Megan Kelly (FOX News), a reporter for Bill O'Reilly and the mayor of Minneapolis. We had a great time!

Sunday morning we were able to talk to Jimmer via webcam, which was nice. Sunday afternoon, we took the kids to the pool at Dacotah. Many of them took a nap on the way to the American Idol concert. The AI concert was fun...I liked the two Davids and Michael Johns. Kelsey seemed to enjoy Syesha, Courtney enjoyed Brooke and Ramiele. Kristy Lee Cook was better in person than on the show.

Have a great week everyone!
