After an Afternoon at the Pool....

The girls and I decided to go swimming at the city pool today. It was a beautiful day (80 degrees) with a little bit of wind. We had a great time! When we got home, Courtney helped me make a pan of Nestle chocolate chip bars and Kelsey....fell asleep in the chair.

Happy Birthday Ann!

We would like to wish our sister-in-law and aunt a very Happy Birthday today! You are very special and we hope you are having a great time in Jackson! I borrowed this photo of Warren and Ann from Laurie's blog. Thanks, Laurie:)

Courtney Plays Soccer...

Courtney participated in a soccer camp this week. She had a great time learning the fundamentals of soccer. Kylee, Mindy's daughter is standing next to Courn. Hema's dad is going to start a soccer league in July that Courtney will join. We don't have too much planned this weekend, just staying close to home. The girls have t-ball and softball games next week and Friday we will drive over to Dan and Laurie's for the 4th of July.

The class I am teaching is going well and will end on Wednesday. I really enjoy teaching at the college level. Eric will be home from his golf trip Monday afternoon.

Have a good weekend everyone!

New T-shirts, T-ball and Accidental Injuries...

The girls received a package in the mail from Grandma and Grandpa Martin. Inside the package were t-shirts and pins. They were very excited to wear their new t-shirts from Alaska. Courtney is still wearing her shirt and Kelsey only took her t-shirt off to put on her T-ball shirt.

Well, Eric called and arrived safely in Denver today. He will be gone until Monday. Grandma and Grandpa Smithare thankfully here to take the girls to their summer activities while I am working. Unfortunately, Grandpa fell downtown on his way to pick up a newspaper and had to have stitches at the hospital. We think he might have broken his big toe as well. Through all of the commotion, Kelsey took her first and we hope only ride in a police car!!

Kelsey had a t-ball tonight-I think her team won...Courtney worked in the concession stand and Grandma and I watched while Grandpa stayed home and rested.

Painting and Resting....

Kelsey's Room-Do you recognize the dresser, Laurie?
Kelsey's bedroom

We are spending a quiet weekend at home. Eric and the girls took down the cowboy wallpaper border in Kelsey's room yesterday and spent the morning painting her walls. She wanted her room pink, and it definitely is! Courtney and Kelsey each spent some time with Skittles-just relaxing... "Kung Fu Panda," is at the movie theater in Sisseton, so we'll probably go to that tonight, Sunday or Monday evening. Our next project is to get the front porch finished and take down the wallpaper border in the master bedroom. What are your plans this weekend??

Enjoying the Sunshine:)

Stopping to smell the roses....
Hi Kelsey!
Jump, Jump!!
Courtney's Turn....

We have been enjoying the sunshine this week. The yellow rose bush is in full bloom along with many other flowers outside of our house. The girls have been enjoying the trampoline (with netting) that we purchased this week.

Eric leaves next Tuesday for his annual golfing trip with the boys. Grandma and Grandpa will be coming up Monday-Thursday to help out and keep the girls busy with their activities. Have a good weekend everyone!

Softball

As many of you know, Courtney is playing softball this summer. Her team is 0-2, but seem to have a great time playing. It is really fun to watch her-she has a solid 'Smith' arm, and got 2 hits & 2 RBI's tonight:) Kelsey is playing T-ball and is a team encourager and leader. I will try and get some photos of her this week.

The Smith/Heath cousins-two...
Ted, Mom, Alex, Nicole and Pam

We just returned home from a great weekend in Shakopee celebrating Matthew's graduation from high school. We are very proud of him and wish him the best of luck at UMD. I have many pictures to post from the party on Saturday. Eric, the girls and I arrived on Friday and took Jamie, Miranda and Sam to the theme park at the Mall of America. Then, that evening they all went swimming at the hotel. On Saturday morning, Eric took the kids golfing before the party. That evening we returned to the hotel for more swimming. Sunday morning we had Father's Day brunch at Jim and Shelly's. One of the highlights of the weekend was being able to talk to Jimmer via webcam-twice! Thanks to Ted and Pam for the egg bake and wonderful chocolate/peanut butter bars (please send the recipe, so I can post it on my blog):) Also, a big thank you to Shelly for hosting a great party-you are amazing and we admire all that you do! We have a busy week planned, Courtney has three softball games. Have a great week everyone!

Happy Birthday Eric!!

The girls and I would like to wish our dad and husband a very Happy 39th Birthday on Monday. We had a barbecue birthday bash this evening with nine other families to celebrate and the weather cooperated for most of the party...until the rain forced everyone inside. After the rain, we could see a double rainbow from our porch!

Have a good week:)

A Perfect Evening for a Fire?

Eric and the girls bought me a nice firepit for Mother's Day. We wanted to try using it this evening...but the weather is not really cooperating. Courtney really wants to roast marshmallows and have Smores-so we'll see....

The girls are keeping busy with T-ball (Kelsey), Arts in the Park (Courtney and Kelsey) and the libraray summer reading program. The carnival is in town this weekend and on Saturday is the city wide rummage sale. We're having a few people over on Sunday night for a barbecue to celebrate Eric's birthday.
