The Vampiress and the Pirate-who's peeking in the background?

Courtney, Kelsey and Kyler ready for trick or treating...

Here are some photos from trick or treating. Kelsey refused to wear her outfit for trick or treating. She did wear it for her party at school, so I'm hoping her teacher will send me some photos of her for me to post. Two of the photos are from the school's website showing the girls with their classes at the fire station. The other photo shows Courtney with her fourth place drawing of broccoli. The parent group at her school sponsored a drawing contest for healthy fruits and vegetables. Courtney's drawing will be included in a school calendar promoting healthy eating. You may recognize some of the other students who participated. Have a good weekend everyone!

Kelsey and Courtney....

No, Kelsey is not dressing up like Sarah Palin for Halloween. Although interestingly enough, Palin's maiden name is Heath. Courtney bought these glasses for dress up in the dollar aisle at Target. Kelsey was sick yesterday after school and we kept her home today. She's been running a temperature, but no other symptoms. We're hoping she gets better in time for her party tomorrow. She will be Sleeping Beauty this year.

Courtney lost another tooth today. She is missing three teeth on the top, which makes eating a little difficult. She is dressing up as a Vampiress-I'll post more pictures this weekend.

Have a great weekend!

Home Improvement Projects...

After....

Before....

With the help of his mom and sister, Eric was able to finish the cement step on the front porch. The next step is to get some stepping stones to lead from the step into the driveway. He was also able to hang the new blinds in our bedroom, which makes the bedroom makeover complete.

The girls have ice skating lessons tomorrow and then we may go see "High School Musical 3." Have a good weekend, everyone!

A Busy Saturday....

Cheryl, Rene and Seth arrived here around 9:30 last evening. We all woke up early to take Courtney and Kelsey to ice skating lessons this morning, as we had to be in Watertown by 8:00 am. Then, we did some shopping at Wal-mart before going to the volleyball tournament at TZ. Courtney was very excited to receive a package in the mail from the Shakopee Smith's-thanks for the great gifts:) She especially liked the card and Webkinz.

When we got home, Seth and Courtney made a "Chill Zone," in the backyard. The "Chill Zone" was their own restaurant which charged $5 per couple for a meal. This evening we went out to eat at our newest restaurant in town, "The Buffalo Wallow," to celebrate Cheryl's birthday. Tomorrow is Sunday School, church and filming our Nativity play for the Christmas program.

Kelsey loses a tooth...

Courtney and Kelsey spent the afternoon at Nate and Blake's house. When Kelsey came home, she was very excited to show us that her loose tooth had come out. We hope the Tooth Fairy remembers to take her tooth tonight (and leave her some money)! The other picture shows the jack-o-lanterns that Eric carved on Sunday.

Decorating Pumpkins and TZ Pride...

Eric and the girls spent the afternoon decorating and carving some of the pumpkins we received from Kelsey's teacher. Yesterday, we went to Fargo and saw the movie, "Beverly Hills Chiauha," it was ok-but not great. Today we went to church and stayed for potluck afterwards. We all have tomorrow off for the Native American Day holiday.

The girls are wearing two of the new winter hat designs Eric ordered---pretty cute:)

Saturday Sleepover and Pumpkin Time!

Hema, Sahali, Courtney and Skittles....
The girls and their pumpkins
A cloudy, dreary day

Courtney and Kelsey had their friends, Hema and Sahali spend the night on Saturday evening. The girls enjoyed playing Barbie idesign on the computer, drawing and playing-even Skittles had a good time:)

Kelsey's teacher, Mrs. Arbach, lives on a farm and has a very large garden. After church, she brought us 9 pumpkins to decorate for Halloween! The girls are very excited! It has been a rainy Sunday-I worked on my dissertation, took a nap, talked to mom and dad and baked a squash:)

Have a good week everyone...

Fall Ponderings....

We are really enjoying the beautiful leaves and Fall foliage---my drive to work each morning is absolutely gorgeous with all of the leaves changing. We have had a busy week, I attended conferences on Tuesday night (Eric was refereeing a volleyball match) and both girls are doing well in school. Courtney is receiving a "Student of the Month" award tomorrow-so I will be posting pictures of that this weekend. It will be a quiet weekend at home, which I am looking forward to---- I found this picture on a website-it's actually taken in Colorado.

Have a great weekend everyone:)
