I've heard that Bill Clinton will be coming to Sisseton on Monday to campaign for his wife. The South Dakota primary election is on June 3rd. He may possibly be making a stop at the tribal headquarters or the school. It's pretty exciting news for this small town:) Have a good weekend everyone!

Memorial Day....
Chicago!!
I attended the Applied Behavior Analysis conference in Chicago over the weekend. It was a fun road trip with my friends, Kristi and Patti from Sioux Falls. They both presented poster sessions on their dissertation subjects at the conference. My advisor, Dr. Sweeney and his wife were also there and took us out for supper on Sunday evening. We had a very nice time and even found some time to shop:)
Eric and the girls spent the weekend playing outside, planting a garden with some other families at Courtney's school and golfing.
Have a great week everyone!

A Beautiful Day for a Field Trip...
Kelsey and I went on a field trip with her Busy Bees pre-school class today. We went to Storybookland in Aberdeen. It is a really neat place. The park is themed after nursery rhymes and The Wizard of Oz. Kelsey liked the Jack and Jill hill with the big slide until she wiped out and skinnned up her knees and hands. She was pretty dramatic after that happened:)
It was a gorgeous day and the kids had a lot of fun. At the end of the day, Kelsey's teachers handed out memory books to the kids (similar to the book Courtney received last year). The book is titled, "Busy Bees Buzz through the ABC's," and showcases all of the letters of the alphabet and pictures of Kelsey. It is truly a keepsake. We have been so fortunate to have a good daycare for our girls the past seven years.
Have a good weekend everyone!

Happy Mother's Day!
We'd like to wish the wonderful mothers in our lives a very Happy Mother's Day! We had a great day in Sioux Falls, eating, shopping, visiting and golfing. Eric, Tyler, Rachel and the girls golfed nine holes, while Deb, mom and I went shopping. It was a lot of fun...the girls got a little goofy on the ride home-as you can see....
Have a great week!

Snow in May!
Yes, it's true...it is snowing at our house! Hema was kind enough to pose for these pictures. She is wearing Courtney's rain slicker, which I believe used to be Sarah's. I am spending the day working on my dissertation, and Eric is scheduling games for the summer city recreation program. Courtney and Hema are playing and Kelsey is at Saheli's (Hema's) house for the day. Have a good weekend everyone!

Having Fun in the Sun....
The girls have been practicing riding bike in the neighbor's driveway. They've also enjoyed having friends over to play outside. Courtney's class is performing a play tomorrow afternoon. I will post pictures later. I think she is playing the part of a frog. She is receiving a reading award on Friday during their May awards assembly. We are very proud of her! Kelsey will be finished with pre-school on the 15th. I am going with the class to Storybookland in Aberdeen for their field trip.
We are going to meet mom, dad, Tim, Deb and crew in Sioux Falls on Sunday to celebrate Mother's Day. We hope everyone is having a good week!

A Dust Storm or Snow?
As we face the possibility of even more snow for tomorrow, I thought I'd pose the question what would you rather experience a snow storm or a dust storm? Jimmer sent me this photo from Iraq. He said this was the view outside his office building the other day. I think I prefer the snow-it's cleaner and it melts:)
