Pretty as a Butterfly

When we got home this afternoon, there were 3 packages on the porch for Kelsey. She was so excited! Aunt Nedra & Uncle Jim, Rene & Seth, and Ted & Pam had all sent her birthday gifts. She also received a princess ABC book and CD on Sunday from Warren, Ann, Andrew and Sarah that she loves:)

Eric will be home tomorrow afternoon from his trip. The girls and I will be happy to see him!

I am running a 5K in Britton on Saturday morning with my friend, Denise. Wish me luck:0

Courtney's Finger....

Can you tell which one is injured?
Couurtney with her splint

Courtney jammed and possibly sprained her pointer finger on her right hand at volleyball camp today. We iced it and put a splint on it. I hope it heals before school starts! I think Kelsey is a little jealous-she wanted a splint too:)

Take Me Out to the Ball Game....

Fans Enjoying the Game
Hi Girls!
ERIC
Jen
What are you up to Kelsey?!

We went to Dan's baseball game in Wahpeton last night. It was fun to watch him play and his team won! Laurie, Ann, Warren and Sarah were there as well. After the game we went to McDonald's to eat.

Eric is on his way to Dallas. He called to say there may be a possible hurricane heading their way-I hope not!!

Happy Birthday Laurie!

We would like to wish our sister-in-law and Auntie Laurie a very Happy Birthday today!

Getting Ready for School and Nicollet Tower

Eric helps Kelsey with her work....
Nice Job Courtney!
Kelsey's learning her address and phone number
Here's where we live....
We made it all the way to the top!

The girls spent most of the morning working on school work given to them last spring. Courtney received a Summer Bridge Activity Book and Kelsey has a Getting Ready for Kindergarten Book. Kelsey received a letter in the mail from the school stating that her teacher will be Mrs. Arbach. She is very excited!!! Courtney will find out who her teacher is on Monday.

After supper, the girls and I drove up to Nicollet Tower. Nicollet Tower is location from which you can see three states-North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota. Kelsey and I climbed to the top twice!! It was a nice reminder of the beauty of this area....

August 1st

The Birthday Bash
The girls swimming
Kelsey....

It is hard to believe it is already August! The summer seemed to fly by. The girls start school on the 18th. I go back to work on Monday and Eric is flying to Dallas for a safety training through the school. As you can see, we have a pool on our cement slab in the backyard. We actually bought it on clearance when we were in Denver. The girls really enjoy swimming in their backyard and we have a cover to put over it to keep out debris.

I am making Chicken Tetrazzini (thanks Laurie) for supper. We don't have too much planned for the weekend. Eric has our bedroom painted-I'll post pictures later. The next task to take all of the wallpaper down in the bathroom and paint. On Sunday we're going back to school shopping in Fargo, then plan on making a stop in Wahpeton Sunday evening to watch Dan play baseball. Have a great weekend everyone!!

Wind Damage

I was awakened Thursday morning by howling winds, thunder and lightning. North east South Dakota was hit very hard by straight line winds of up to 115 miles per hour. Luckily, we didn't have wind speeds that high-but it did do some damage to my flowers. Eric and I work with a few people who live near Webster and experienced fallen trees and electrical outages. The sirens went off in Sisseton, but we are too far away to hear them. A little scary....
