The first graders at Courtney's school had Awards Day today. They sang a few songs and held a Mexican Fiesta. She received a music award, accelerated reader award, spelling, math, and handwriting awards. The picture shows her and friend, Nate after the celebration.

I made a comment but it didn't come up. I congratuated Courtney and said that I wish we were their to see her get her awards. Gave hugs to her and Kelsey.
Wow, Courtney's school is really into awards! I'm glad she got so many. We ran into problems with angry parents whose kids weren't getting enough or the right award and so we've pretty much done away with most of them.
