American Idol Here We Come....

Yes, it is that time of year again-----for the American Idol Concert. The girls and I will be leaving tomorrow morning for Shakopee. Then, Tuesday evening the Smith/Heath entourage will enter the Target Center to watch the American Idol Season 8 top ten singers. I am looking forward to hearing Adam, Kris, Allison, and Danny sing. It's always a fun time with the Shakopee Smith's-right Shelly;)

First Day of School and Visit

We had a nice visit with Jason, Birgid, and Clara Smith over the weekend. We showed them the sites of Sisseton and had a great time.

The girls started school on Monday. Kelsey has Mrs. Ellsworth (Courtney's ) former teacher and Courtney has Mrs. Grimsrud. They were both very excited to start the school year.

The Glass family is visiting for the weekend and were nice enough to bring Courtney home after being in the Cities since last Saturday! Our original plan was to spend the day at the waterpark in Watertown, but the weather early this afternoon spoiled our plans. So.....since our air conditioning unit is not working upstairs, and we haven't been able to find someone to come fix it yet.....they are staying at the Super 8. We will be taking the kids over to swim in the pool, before supper. Eric and Cullen took the four older kids out golfing earlier this morning, they are having fun!

Weekend

I was in Pierre for most of the week and when I came home, Eric had painted the living room:) It looks great-now I need to find some different window treatments...

It is a rainy, humid Saturday in Sisseton. Kelsey's friend, Saheli is here visiting from Minneapolis. We are waiting for her mom to come and pick Saheli and Courtney up. Courtney will be spending a few days with her best friend Hema, before going to Shakopee and then home with Uncle Dan on Wednesday. A big thanks to the Shakopee Smith's and Uncle Dan for helping me coordinate the visit. It will be Courtney's first time 'away' from home other than grandma and grandpa's house.

Kelsey had another birthday party on Saturday. Grandma, grandpa, Warren, Ann, Sarah, and the Hagen's helped her celebrate. She had a great time and received many nice gifts.

I am officially back to work as of today and am excited for the school year to start! Eric heads back next Monday, so the girls will hang out with their friends for a few weeks before their school starts on the 24th. Have a good week everyone:)
