Skittles

For all of you cat lovers/owners-I have a question....what is the best way to get a cat to take antibiotics? Skittles and the neighbor's cat like to squabble and Skittles developed an infection on his neck. We took him to the vet and he prescribed Cefa-Drops to be taken daily for 2 weeks. Here is a photo of Eric attempting to give him his medicine.....notice Kelsey trying to help with Strawberry Newtons in her hand:)

Jenny- It's a two person job. Have Eric grab Skittles firmly by the back of the neck so that her front paws are off the ground and she is on her hind legs. You should then pry a little opening on the side of her mouth and insert the application device. After you have squeezed the drops in gently hold her mouth shut until she sticks her tongue out (seriously). That means she has swallowed the medicine. Don't be alarmed if she spits some of it out (especially on her fur) since she will likely lick it up. Good luck!

That is exactly how we do it! Excellent description, Ann. Assuming that came from Ann!
