American Idol Season 8 started this evening in Phoenix. Courtney and I are big 'Idol' fans, but we've also started watching 'The Biggest Loser,' so we didn't watch very much of the Idol try-outs. This year is a little different because they've added another judge, Kara Dioguardi. I think she'll be a nice addition to the show-what do you think? Stay tuned for more auditions tomorrow night from Kansas City....

I like her. It seems like she and Paula get along well. She seems to have a mind of her own and makes sense unlike Paula at times. Paula appears to have it together this season and she looks good too. Plastic surgery perhaps or maybe less drugs? Who knows! We DVR'd it so we could cut through all the junk. I'm not a big fan of the first part of the season. I enjoy it when they get down to the top 12.
We are looking forward to a good Idol season as well. I wonder how well the gal from MN will do (KC or Casey (SP?). I also enjoy watching the top 12 and really don't get into the auditions. How do people NOT KNOW how bad they are? Ann
I didn't know there was a Mn connection this year. Did I miss that when I was fast forwarding or was it in the news? Ann, I think most of them know they are bad but just want to be on TV. Some really think they are good though and that is rather sad.
